Compress Image to Exact KB

Compress one or more images under a specific KB or MB file-size limit.

Drop JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEICUp to 100 photos, 40 MB each. Nothing is uploaded.
Unit
KB is 1,000 bytes. KiB is 1,024. A form that says 100 KB usually means 100,000 bytes.
Presets
Format
Quality search runs on JPEG and WebP. PNG is lossless, so a tiny cap usually needs smaller pixels.

Drop a photo or use the sample. Settings do not store the file.

Meet an image upload limit

Enter the file-size cap shown on a form or website. The tool measures the encoded result and keeps successful files at or below that cap.

JPEG and WebP use a quality search first. If that is not enough—and pixel shrinking is allowed—the tool also reduces the image dimensions. PNG is lossless, so smaller dimensions are often needed for a low target.

Good to know
